Swimming Pools

Swimming pools have evolved exponentially in the last 20-30years.

They were more often than not excessively large and awkwardly located within the backyard, with not much consideration for connection with other spaces in the garden.

Smaller pools were just not a thing.

They were also really heavy on chemicals, mainly liquid chlorine that you could smell on your skin for weeks, and heavy on power, making them expensive to run.

Swimming Pools have now become very customised, designed in all shapes and sizes to suit much smaller areas and the specific needs of the user.

Sanitation systems have also evolved from basic chlorinated pools to a range of options geared toward minimal chemical systems such as mineral pools and freshwater pools as well as low salt systems and natural bio pools.

There are plenty of really appealing low energy and low maintenance options that can be tailored to suit your specific requirements.

Pools are places for people to congregate and enjoy. They are an important consideration when designing a backyard and should connect with the surrounding spaces without compromise, thus getting proportions and other details right is fundamental to a successful pool.

Not every site will suit a pool.
