A sophisticated, compact inner west courtyard garden with plenty of punch.
Curved timbers and a steel facade wrap around an existing Lily Pilly tree to provide seating to the main courtyard space which flows out from the dining area at the back of the terrace home.

On the opposing side, set against the brick party wall is multi-purpose outdoor kitchen and bench, with BBQ, fire pit and grill (hidden in the seat). Wisteria is used over a steel arbor to provide a green awning above.
Wide sandstone steps open the courtyard to the lawn above and offer another option for seating when entertaining. A wall of Boston Ivy and grove of Pencil Pines frame the garden and provide privacy. Mixed border plantings on either side of the lawn add seasonal interest and give the owners some freedom to play around with plant types.
