The landscape too is resilient and tough but also soft and forgiving, playing an important role of settling the building into its surrounding environment.

The hard palette of bluestone crazy pave, concrete and timber is soothing and understated. Organic curves and broken edges in hard finishes allow planting and turf to merge together to create a seamless interface between building edges and landscape.

The planting is inspired by the local dune-scape it merges with, thus predominantly local, low water use and low maintenance coastal natives designed in simple massed groupings for impact.
