Balgowlah Heights

A contemporary facelift and new front garden to an existing 50s red brick home. This design pays homage to the 50s style and character in the use of modern material applications such as concrete  turf grid and off-form concrete stairs and walls. 

Mixed with other more contemporary details in steel balustrading, batten fencing  and concrete finishes the design brings plenty of fun, interest and punch.

This material palette is modern and in contrast to the red brick which adds a sharpness to the existing building materials . 

The planting is predominantly native with a few tough succulent varieties and flowering perennial species mixed through to create a considered layering of texture and Impact around the built elements.
